Imagine, after a very hot day, you come back home, sit on the couch in your favorite position, turn on the air cooler and sit back and relax. But, there’s one problem. The air cooler isn’t facing you, the cool and pleasant air jet is not targeted at you. Okay, you go and turn the air cooler to face you, but that requires you to do the adjustment. Now if you want to change your position, again and again, that becomes slightly problematic. And it also leads to excessive energy consumption as you would have to wait for the entire room to be cooled for you to receive that sensation. This is basically directional cooling, wherein you need to be in the direction of air flow in order to reap the full benefit.
